Mediator Application

Thank you for your interest in serving as a mediator for the Alameda County Superior Court's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program.

Panel mediators must have completed 40 hours of mediation training and have documented completion of at least five mediated cases (see the Panel Mediator Qualifications for details). If you have been a mediator for this court, you must re-apply if you wish to serve in the new program.

Panel mediators agree to donate all preparation and administrative time, and two hours of mediation session time for each court mediation referral. Please read the Mediation Panel Application Information for details. You will need to complete and send a copy of the last page of this document to the ADR Program office in addition to completing the online application.

Applications will be reviewed by the ADR Program Administrator and approved by the ADR Administration Committee.

Unless you specify otherwise, selected portions of your application will be provided to litigants and posted on the court's website.

You will be asked to create a password to begin the process. Please use the word 'password' when requested to create a password. This password will be used by the ADR Program office to update your profile information when needed.

If you begin but do not complete your application, your work will be automatically saved and you may return later to complete the application.
